ReplyDeleteI guess it is a very small world - and I guess cyberspace is not quite as vast as some would have us believe ..I will not conceal to you that I cannot stop the tears from falling at this moment that I write these words . The instant that I happened upon your page & saw Keith's photograph , I broke down , and I cant stop . I spent the greater part of today reflecting back to that fateful day - I tried several times to clear my mind of it and focus on graphics & work, but to no avail ..the memory of that day will ultimately haunt me for the rest of my life I believe . I now reside in Greece ( on the same Island where King Leonidas & his 299 Spartans gave the greatest battle in History ) . I left the U.S . about 2 years ago ..I just couldnt live there any longer - you see, I was one of the people trapped in those Towers ..I was on the 62 (WTC 2 ) floor , and to tell you the truth : I dont remember how I got out alive - I cant remember anything -the only thing I felt was an invisible set of hands rescuing me and transferring me to safety . I never saw the face of the man who saved me , and I guess I will never truly know - maybe it was Keith . Or maybe someone just like him - Valiant & Fearless & willing to sacrifice his own life for someone like me . I will not pray for Keith - but I shall pray UNTO him & his memory . I am so sorry for your loss , and how I wish there were a way to turn back the hands of time - make Keiths alarm clock not go off , so that he would miss work that day ..he and so many others like Keith . But , I believe that even if Keith was off from work that day , he would have still run to the scene - I believe that this was the type of human being Keith must have been or else he would have never gone into such a profession . There are no words of solace or comfort which I can say to you - no amount of words can help bring Keith & so many others like him back . All I will say is : Thank you for rescuing me from the grasp of death Keith .
